The SGCA is an organization committed to support the interests of Guatemalan composers working in visual media, including film, television, theater, video games and future technologies. With this goal, the SGCA:

Shares knowledge about the creative aspects of writing music and lyrics for media, as well as the aspects of running the business and the industry of it;

Provides educational tools for its members with the latest technological and creative trends that affect our industry;

Seeks to improve the environment and working conditions to maintain the highest level of quality in our field;

Promotes the community sharing knowledge and experience among our members and related organizations nationally and internationally;
